Breast Cancer Surgeon

Ashley M. Richardson, D.O. joined Comprehensive Breast Care in September, 2019. She completed her Breast Oncology Fellowship at McLaren/Karmanos Cancer Institute, Flint, Michigan. She completed her residency in general surgery at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University in 2013 after receiving a Bachelor of Science from the same University in 2008.


Dr. Ashley Richardson is currently adjunct clinical faculty with the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties and College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. She is also an Assistant Professor for Wayne State University School of Medicine.


In 2021, she participated in the Detroit Tiger's "Pink Out the Park" where her patient threw the first pitch and she caught it. She has also been involved with "Pink Out the Rink" for the Flint Firebirds hockey team for breast cancer awareness. She is dedicated and involved in numerous breast cancer awareness efforts in the community.


She is a recipient of 2022 My City Magazine's Wellness Award for Specialist Surgeon. An award recognizing excellence in Greater Flint Health Care.
